Above is an out loud reading of all of Shakespeare's sonnets. The topics of his sonnets varied from love to tragedy and everything in between. In these sonnets he wrote openly about many things including the politics of the time. The government, a monarchy, was very stable at the time. This may have led the arts, such as theatre and literature, to grow and allowed the environment that Shakespeare needed to grow as a writer that would be remember even still today.
